At Nobis Mental Health and Counselling Services, we are a team of compassionate clinicians that have an in-depth understanding of the unique obstacles encountered by neurodivergent individuals and those experiencing complex health challenges. Our clinicians have extensive experience working in diverse areas of the mental health field, including hospital, non-profit and social service settings-- which has fostered an communal appreciation of the importance of a strengths-based, person-centered and gender-affirming therapeutic space that incorporates a holistic and flexible approach tailored to meet your specific needs and goals.
Each of our clinicians have significant experience working with children (8+), youth, and adults facing mental health, family and social challenges, including those related to neurodivergence (ASD, ADHD), depression, anxiety, navigating relationships and life transitions. Our clinicians implement evidence-based modalities in working with our clients, drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy skills (DBT Skills, Radically Open DBT skills) and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT). With these modalities, we work together with you and your support network to modify unhelpful thoughts and behaviours explores strengths and values, as well as improve emotion regulation, self extreme, and overall social functioning.
